17 Jan 08 Pass Promise

It wasn’t long after arriving back at the halls that I was notified of a large package awaiting my collection from a the office. Large package? I haven’t ordered a large package…

Upon further discovery, I find it is the BSM‘s Pass Promise box of goodies, including a massive book on the latest set of DSA theory test questions, a book on the practical test, a highway code, a hazard perception DVD, a DVD on a ‘Mind Alertness Programme’ and some leaflet things to give to my instructor. Not bad for the price.

In addition to all of the above, the pass promise says that if you do what is says, and you don’t pass either test first time, then the BSM will refund your fees. But that means taking a mock practical, completing the MAP properly (I ain’t even looked at that yet), studying, and taking as many lessons as my instructor says.

In fact, the only thing I’m nervous about is meeting my instructor. The driving I don’t think will be much of a problem for me – it’s the whole social doo-dah with the instructor that worries me!

So, people have noticed lately I seem to be sleeping in a little. That has a lot to do with me lying in bed for half an hour each night to read another section of my new driving books. My aim is to have read up enough to be fairly confident when I start my lessons next Wednesday. Oh god, the prospects of me making a car move – that should make most of Sunderland very very scared…
