Comments on: Yesterday http://aspie.blog-it.me.uk/2008/12/23/yesterday/ Matt has Asperger's Syndrome (AS), an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and is writing this blog so that people can gain more of an insight into how people with the condition process thoughts, feel emotions, react to situations and generally handle life. Sun, 21 Jun 2009 12:45:51 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.9.2 hourly 1 By: Matt http://aspie.blog-it.me.uk/2008/12/23/yesterday/comment-page-1/#comment-338 Matt Wed, 18 Feb 2009 21:39:18 +0000 http://aspie.blog-it.me.uk/?p=92#comment-338 She does know about my AS, and she subconsciously understands a lot better than most people that I've explained it to! Her reply to my email tells me that she was incredibly angry, because normally she would never use my AS against me in that way. I'm going with the "let's wait and see" idea, because I think I do now know why things went wrong, and yes, it was to do with something I'd said. Hopefully, someday, she'll talk to me; until then, what can I do? She does know about my AS, and she subconsciously understands a lot better than most people that I’ve explained it to!

Also could u have at some time impressed on her that since u can not easily understand peoples feelings (not in the standard way anyway) that she should take time to explain things to you if u accidently (or even deliberatly !!?? ) upset her or cause her problems. just a thought... short of waiting for her to change her mind i guess there is not too much u can do now. maybe a general apology saying u dont know how u upset her but u would never want to.. not sure how that would go down. a final thought. i think i have in past lost friends not by upsetting them as such, but by "wearing them down" by being too single minded and inflexible eg wanting too much phone contact with them etc. maybe worth a thought also. best of luck I sympathise ,with losing a friendship and not knowing why. has happened to me on and off throughout my life (have moderate AS myself). only thing that springs to mind is does she know u have AS and what it is.
